Why in the World Do People Blog?
Blogging is now a part of life for many in our society as we get more and more connected via the internet. For those who are not familiar with the term blog, it is short for "web log". According to Wikipedia.org Blogs are described as a site which is maintained by an individual , with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events or other information such as graphics and video. Blogs are popular for a variety of reasons. It is a good example of: 1. To provide information on subjects that may interest them. 2. To voice opinions and thoughts about subjects that interest you. 3. For personal journals or diary of their daily life Let's examine the various reasons in greater detail. 1. To disseminate information on subjects that are of interest to them. If you're an expert on a particular subject, and want to share your knowledge with others on that topic, blogging is a great way to do it. There is usually no cost to set up and up a blog (i.e. Blogger.com is an excellent site for setting up a free blog site) and you have the chance to reach many more people via the web than when writing a publication or magazine article. In addition, blogging gives you the possibility of giving periodic updates about your subject in the frequency you desire. 2. to express thoughts and opinions about topics that are of interest to you. We all have opinions about anything that is current, like current events or subjects that are of particular interest. What better way can we express these opinions than to create a blog? A blog does not have to be written by an individual. It can also be created by an organisation, like a news or TV program that allows viewers the option of sending emails regarding what was talked about on air. The emails are then published in the TV show or news blog, for all to see. It also gives people an opportunity to make comments on the emails of others or blog articles. 3. to create a personal journal or diary of their everyday lives In certain ways, blogging could be considered to be a computerized method of keeping a personal diary or journal. Before computers became popular the TCL BLOG people kept written diaries that contained entries of their most intimate and personal thoughts. The issue with diaries written in writing is that they can't be read by anyone unless the author physically gives them to someone else to read. Blogs, on the other on the other hand, can be read by millions of readers. Most of us will never achieve fame, where the media is the vehicle that would document our thoughts and how we do. Instead, blogging offers people the chance to acquainted by sharing the small, everyday things that matter the most. Blogs are a chance for people to develop a snapshot about themselves for decades to come. Should everyone create a blog? This is a personal decision -- I believe it's based on what you'd like the blog to be used to serve. If you're passionate about something and want people to be aware of it, then you should blog. If you own a business and you want to keep in touch with your customers by giving them the chance to voice their opinions about your product and/or service start a blog. If you'd like for everyone to read your most intimate and private thoughts, because you believe that your thoughts are valuable enough to be shared, then you should start a blog. I started blogging because I desire for my readers they can keep in mind when they think of me. The blog will serve as an account of who I am and what I have done in my life. It is possible to find millions of blogs available on the web today. If you make the decision to make a blog your blog, it is likely to capture the interest of someone who is not yours.
